OHS CERTIFICATION

Vortex Geophysics is certified against AS/NZS4801 and OHSAS18001. These are nationally and internationally recognised standards to assist organisations with the development of an effective Occupational Health and Safety Management System. The standard is used by accreditation bodies, SAI Global in our case, to formally audit organisations and ensure that they meet and exceed the requirements and continually work towards a culture of improvement.

New IP Transmitter

June 2015

Our new VIP-30 IP transmitter is complete and has been fully tested in the field. It is rated at 30A and 1500V.

Vortex Celebrates 10 years

May 2015

It is now 10 years since Vortex Geophysics performed our first geophysical survey. The client was LionOre Australia with the DHEM surveys being conducted near their Thunderbox Gold Mine.

AS/NZS 4801:2001 and OHSAS 18001:2007 Certification

Vortex Geophysics has attained certification against AS4801 and OHSAS18001 with SAI Global.

High Power MLEM Trialled Successfully

September 2012

Our VTX-100, high power EM transmitter has been successfully used for moving loop EM surveys. The survey employed the Slingram configuration and used two transmitter loops in series for a total current of 200A into a 200m x 200m loop. The transmitter system was powered by a true 20KVA generator set mounted in a Kubota Mule and is reasonably mobile in most terrain.

Vortex Wins Nickel West Contract

September 2010

Vortex Geophysics has won the contract to provide geophysical services to BHP Billiton, Nickel West. The initial contract period is three years with a DHEM crew remaining permanently on site between Leinster and Mount Keith. Additional geophysical services will be provided as required.

High Power EM Transmitter Available

December 2009

Our VTX-100, high power EM transmitter is now available for down hole and fixed loop EM surveys. It is rated at 100A and 500V and ispowered by a 75KVA generator set.
